Cellulaze Cellulite Treatments in Honolulu, Hawaii

Cellulite is a condition in which the skin has underlying fat deposits which makes the area look lumpy and dimpled. More than 80% of women over the age of 20 have cellulite. Some causes of cellulite are genetics, how your body distributes fat, and the natural aging process. Many people resort to creams to try and banish their cellulite only to discover that they don’t work. This is because the cellulite is located in the connective tissues underneath the skin where creams cannot reach. Dr. Peterson now offers a new FDA approved treatment to get rid cellulite. Call our office today for a consultation.

Cellulaze

How much does the treatment cost?

Cellulaze is a very precise and individualized treatment. Without an in-person consultation and a complete evaluation of the areas to be treated, it is inappropriate to attempt to provide an accurate estimate over the phone. Dr. Peteson needs to see the prospective patient first to provide an accurate quote.

How many treatments are required to achieve the desired results?

Only one Cellulaze treatment is necessary to achieve the desired results. You’ll see some immediate results, but final results won’t be apparent for three to six months. Of course there are exceptions to every rule, but unless there are very large areas that need to be treated, one procedure will provide excellent results.

How does Cellulaze work?

The Cellulaze treatment is performed by using a very small cannula (or tube about the size of the tip of a pen) inserted under the skin. A unique SideLight™ laser fiber inside the tube delivers energy directly under the skin. The precise SideLight laser energy increases the depth and quality of your skin, while simultaneously releasing the fibrous bands that pull down on your skin, to minimize the orange peel look associated with cellulite. The laser is also used to diminish the lumpy pockets of fat that protrude though the fibrous bands under your skin.

Can anyone have this treatment?

The best candidates for Cellulaze are women who are not significantly overweight but have cellulite on their thighs.

Does it hurt?

There is little discomfort associated with the Cellulaze treatment, since patients are treated with a local anesthetic to numb the areas that will be treated. Patients may feel slight pressure or a warming sensation in and around the areas to be treated, but these are mild sensations. Patients are able to talk with the doctor during the procedure because they are awake and not sedated.

Are there any side effects?

Cellulaze is a minimally invasive surgical procedure, therefore after the treatment there will be some swelling and a little soreness. However since Celluaze is a minimally invasive laser procedure, incision sites are very small and there is little bleeding during the procedure. Most patients are able to return to their normal activities in a day or two. Patients may have some fluid leak out of the incision sites following the procedure.

I have tried everything to get rid of cellulite, how do I know Cellulaze really works?

Cellulaze is backed by two years of clinical research and cleared for use in the United States. Clinical data has proven Cellulaze treatments can increase the thickness of the skin by 25% and increase the skin’s elasticity by 29%: significant claims which haven’t been made by many other anti-cellulite treatments*. Thicker and more elastic skin can help flatten and smooth the skin’s surface therefore improving the appearance of cellulite. In addition, 100% of patients surveyed were satisfied or very satisfied with their results one year after their procedure, and all would recommend the Cellulaze treatment to a friend. *DiBernardo, BE “Treatment of Cellulite with One Year Follow-up using a 1440nm pulse laser” Aesthetic Surgery Journal, March 2011

How long does the procedure take?

On average, the procedure will take one to two hours, depending on the size of the areas to be treated.

Do I have to stay in the hospital?

No, Cellulaze is an in-office procedure performed under local anesthesia.

How long do the results last?

Since new collagen is formed in the areas treated with Cellulaze and the structures under the skin are altered—producing results that last. Clinical studies have shown results can persist for one year or more. However, it is important to maintain a healthy diet and exercise regimen to continue to enjoy the results.

Will there be scarring?

The incision sites will be very small. With proper care, any scars will be barely noticeable. Dr. Peterson would be the best person to evaluate your skin type and provide the best information on scar prevention.
