Our staff at Athena Clinic in Hawaii understands the sensitive nature of cosmetic surgery. Dr Peterson is well respected as a surgeon with a gentle manner who can create extraordinary improvements while maintaining a very natural look. His extensive training includes Harvard Medical School, general surgery training at the University of Hawaii, cosmetic surgery at the Texas Medical Center as well as advanced specialty training in Japan and China. Dr. Peterson has been chief of Plastic Surgery at Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children for the past 10 years.

Each patient has unique needs, and Athena Clinic in Hawaii employs a cosmetic surgery staff that strives to offer individualized care to fit those needs. The goal of Dr. Peterson's staff is to make patients feel relaxed and confident by answering all questions and being as informative as possible.

Meet Our Cosmetic Surgery Staff

Jenn
Jenn, our patient care coordinator and practice manager, has been working in the field of plastic and cosmetic surgery since 2007. She has extensive knowledge of the procedures that Dr. Peterson specializes in. As patient care coordinator, Jenn has constant communication with our patients. From the initial phone call inquiry to the post-operative visit, she builds trusting and caring relationships with each of them. Jenn is here to answer any questions or concerns our patients may have prior to having their procedure. Her main objective is to provide our patients with all of the information they may need, to ensure a comfortable and rewarding experience with our surgeon and our staff.

Jeanne
Jeanne is our medical assistant and has been working in plastic surgery since 2005. She will be there for you at your post-op visits and usually assisting Dr. Peterson with all clinical procedures. She is extremely caring and her goal is to make your visit at Athena Clinic as comfortable as possible.

Brigid
Brigid is our laser technician and treats our patients for hair removal & SRA skin treatments, she is also our skincare specialist. Brigid has been in the medical aesthetics industry for over 8 years and she was born and raised in Hawaii. She has spent many years immersing herself in medical aesthetics and is fully licensed esthetician. In her free time she enjoys time with her husband, family, friends, her dog Sam, baking and reading.

Tobey
Tobey is our clinic RN. She will be with you every step of the way from consultation to postop. She holds a BSN from Regis University in Colorado. Her goal is to make you feel comfortable and informed about your chosen procedure. Her hobbies include running and swimming at the beach and trying new foods.

Dr. Lu
Dr. Lu received her training from the Shanghai Medical School. Her career has included working on research projects and in translating for ER123. Dr. Lu assists Dr. Peterson in patient care and translates for Chinese patients. During her free time, she enjoys surfing the internet, cooking, and trying different foods. Dr. Lu is our Chinese translator.

Dr. Nannette Duca-Cruz. Anesthesiologist
Dr. Duca-Cruz received her medical degree from St. Georges University and completed her anesthesiology training at St. Josephs Regional Medical Center in New Jersey. Originally from Miami, Florida, she moved to Honolulu with her locally-born husband in 2008. She is fluent in Spanish and enjoys running, reading, cooking, martial arts and stand-up paddle boarding. Dr. Duca-Cruz's patient care goals are to give a safe and pleasant surgical experience.

Dr. Bruce Campbell. Anesthesiologist
Dr Bruce Campbell is one of our board certified anesthesiologist, with over 18 years experience in Anesthesia. Bruce is gentle, kind and always with a smile on his face. You are in the very best of care with him looking over you on your day of surgery. Dr Campbell received his medical doctor training at the university of Colorado at the Health Science Centre and completed his Anesthesiology residency at the University of Texas. When he isn?t working hard he enjoys a very active lifestyle with his girlfriend, which includes deep sea fishing, boating, scuba diving and cruising on his motorcycle around the island.
