Preparation
During your consultation, our team will provide you with a set of instructions to help you prepare for your neck liposuction. Each step must be followed to support a smooth and successful recovery:
- Stop taking medications and supplements with blood-thinning properties, as advised.
- Cease smoking and all nicotine use at least 4–6 weeks before the procedure.
- Limit alcohol consumption in the weeks leading up to your surgery.
- Arrange transportation home after your procedure in advance.
- Take time off from work and social commitments to allow for proper healing.
- Fill any prescriptions provided to you ahead of time.

Procedure

He will then insert a small probe that releases ultrasound energy to emulsify and suction out the fat. Recovery
Neck liposuction is performed on an outpatient basis, which means you will be released home to continue recovering and will not have to stay the night at the hospital or recovery center. During the initial healing period, it is normal to experience temporary side effects such as swelling or bruising in the neck. These effects typically subside on their own, but may be managed using medications prescribed by Dr. Peterson. You will be provided a compression garment to help minimize any additional swelling and to protect the new appearance of your neck. Most patients can return to work within one to two weeks, but this may depend on your personal recovery timeline and the nature of your job.
