The Surgery
Breast lift surgery is adapted to fit each patient’s individual needs, but in the most common procedure, our surgeons start with an anchor shaped incision along the natural contour of the breast. From this incision, our surgeons can sculpt excess skin and tissue to reposition the nipple and lift the breast into a new, more youthful position. Our surgeons conclude the procedure by pulling the skin snugly around the new nipple and then closing the incisions. Mastopexy can be performed using either a local or general anesthesia and is usually done on an outpatient basis.
After Mastopexy (Breast Lift) in Oahu HI
Following the procedure at Athena Clinic in Honolulu Hawaii, an elastic bandage and a surgical bra are applied to the breasts while they heal. This bandage can be removed after a few days while the surgical bra stays on up to several weeks until swelling subsides. Most breast lift patients are able to return to work in two weeks.
